The Buffalo Bills hammered the San Francisco 49ers, 35-10, in a snow-filled rout led by Josh Allen’s 4 TDs. Colin Cowherd explains why he feels like this is the year for the Bills to win the Super Bowl. Just as the San Francisco 49ers confirmed Christian McCaffrey suffered a season-ending PCL injury in the loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night, his backup is also heading to injured reserve. Jordan Mason, who filled in admirably for McCaffrey as he dealt with Achilles tendinitis in both his ankles at the start of the season, will miss at least the next four games due to a high-ankle sprain also suffered in the blowout loss to the Bills . The 49ers have no choice but to turn to rookie Isaac Guerendo to be their lead running back for what could possibly be the rest of the season with just five games remaining. "I think PCL is usually a couple weeks, but I’m not exactly sure yet," Shanahan said prior to learning that it’s six weeks for him to heal with not that many games remaining on the schedule. JOSH ALLEN MAKES NFL HISTORY AS BILLS CLINCH AFC EAST WITH WIN OVER 49ERS IN DRIVING SNOW At 5-7 after losing three straight, the 49ers are grasping at straws hoping they can go on a run to end the year and get back into the playoffs. But they currently sit in last place in the NFC West, though the division-leading Seattle Seahawks are only 7-5. (AP Photo/Adrian Kraus) Considering that a running game is crucial for Shanahan’s offense to work, he will be asking a lot of his rookie running back to carry a workload that San Fran was hoping McCaffrey could do after healing his Achilles injuries. McCaffrey had 53 rushing yards on seven attempts and two catches for 14 yards before leaving the game on his own power. During one of those runs, he slid after feeling something wasn’t right. McCaffrey has played in just four games this season, rushing for 202 yards with no touchdowns on the ground nor through the air. As for Mason, he broke out earlier this season, rushing for more than 100 yards in three of his first four games as the lead back with McCaffrey hurt. He slowed down a bit but has still smashed his career highs with 789 yards and three touchdowns. However, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, who is the Pro-Chancellor of these varsities, was reportedly “bypassed” while these decisions were made. In an order, Mr. Sinha extended the tenure of the V-C of Sher-I-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology- Kashmir (SKUAST-K) for a period of two years. “In exercise of the powers vested in me under Section 25 (2) of the Sher-I-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology Act, 1982, I, Manoj Sinha, Chancellor, Sher-I-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Kashmir, hereby extend the tenure of Prof. Nazir Ganaie, Vice Chancellor, Sher-I-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Kashmir, for a period of two (02) years w.e.f. 16.12.2024, the date of completion of his existing term as the Vice Chancellor, SKUAST Kashmir,” reads the order. In another order, L-G Sinha approved extension of the term of Prof. Umesh Rai, Vice-Chancellor of Jammu University (JU), by three years. Silent turf war These decisions have once again brought to the fore the silent turf war between the newly-elected CM and the Raj Bhawan. Official sources close to the CM office confirmed that Mr. Abdullah was not taken onboard while making these decisions despite the CM being the Pro-Chancellor of these varsities. Officials said the normal scheme of things required a consultation between the Chancellor and the Pro-Chancellor over selection or extension of term of V-Cs. They said the CM office may have reservations about the extension of the term of Mr. Ganaie due to “pending complaints against him with the General Administration Department (GAD)“. In November, the Kashmir University (KU) decided to postpone interviews of shortlisted candidates for Assistant Professor positions after the elected government expressed reservations, citing rules that barred the V-C from holding such interviews with only five months of his tenure left. However, a fresh notification decided to go ahead with the interviews at the Vice-Chancellor’s Secretariat. New French government named after previous one collapsed in budget fightAdvancements in DNA technology and a surge of public interest are rekindling hope for breakthroughs in the long-unsolved murder of 6-year-old JonBenét Ramsey, a case that has remained a haunting mystery for nearly 28 years. As new techniques emerge and fresh attention is drawn to the evidence, many are eager for answers that could finally bring closure to this tragic story. JonBenét, who was found dead in the basement of her Boulder, Colorado, home in 1996, remains frozen in time. Her father, John Ramsey, has endured nearly three decades without justice, answers or his daughter. "JonBenét's still my 6-year-old blond-headed daughter who I love dearly," Ramsey told ABC News. "I did run into one of her little friends on the street who is now, you know, 30 and an adult. And it was, it was a little bit of a shock. This little girl played with JonBenét at our house all the time. And that was a little bit of a jolt to think, wow, that could have been JonBenét." Watch the full story on the "20/20" episode, "Forever Young: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey?" featuring a new interview with John Ramsey and never-before-seen footage from the iconic Barbara Walters interview with parents John and Patsy Ramsey. Ramsey, now 81 years old, has renewed hope that his daughter's killer can finally be found. He is confident that advances in DNA technology, including genetic genealogy that has helped to solve several high-profile cold case, are the key to solving this mystery. "Let's do a reverse family tree and see if he had a relative living in Boulder in 1996. The interesting thing about these cold cases," Ramsey said. "The ultimate first arrest came out of nowhere. They were on no one's radar. They've done this horrible crime and nobody said that that guy's a suspect. That's what we're asking the police to do." Over the years, Ramsey expressed frustration with the police for not solving his daughter's case. He was unhappy with being a prime suspect for 12 years and that the department rejected offers of help to find viable evidence. He recently took part in a new Netflix docuseries, "Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey?" The series dives into lingering mysteries surrounding the tragic case, exploring evidence, interviews and theories that have emerged over the years. Ramsey collaborated with director Joe Berlinger, who aimed to illuminate what he described as one of the most victimized families in American history. "Obviously, he wasn't legally wrongfully convicted, but he was wrongfully convicted," Berlinger said. "And his wife Patsy -- the family were wrongfully convicted in the court of public opinion." The popular docuseries ignited a new wave of interest among viewers. Ramsey is hopeful that recent changes in the Boulder Police Department's leadership and better communication with his family may lead to a resolution in the case. The Boulder police department has addressed the recent scrutiny. Last month, the current police chief released a video statement. "So much of how law enforcement works has changed in the last 30 years," Stephen Redfearn said. "There are a number of things that people have pointed to throughout the years that could have been done better and we acknowledge that as true. However, it is important to emphasize that while we cannot go back to that horrible day in 1996, our goal is to find JonBenét Ramsey's killer." That tragic day in 1996 began in the picturesque Boulder neighborhood where the Ramsey family lived. On Dec. 26, John and Patsy Ramsey woke up to find that JonBenét, a child beauty queen, was missing. A handwritten ransom note demanding $118,000 -- the exact sum of John's bonus that year -- was discovered on the kitchen stairs. Seven hours later, John found his daughter's lifeless body in a small basement room. An autopsy determined JonBenét was sexually assaulted and strangled, and her skull was fractured. Unknown DNA was found under her fingernails and in her underwear. The Ramseys quickly became suspects, even though no evidence connected them to the crime. The family has always denied any involvement in JonBenét's murder. However, the Boulder District Attorney's Office took 12 years to fully exonerate the Ramseys and their son Burke, who was 9 years old when his sister died. As weeks went by without any arrests in the case, a media frenzy began to build, fueled by relentless tabloid images of JonBenét participating in beauty pageants. A number of leads emerged, including a man named John Mark Karr, who confessed to the killing in 2006. However, his DNA did not match the evidence and he was not in Boulder at the time of the murder, so he was eliminated as a suspect. The case remained unsolved. John Ramsey believes that a cloud still hangs over his family, as he thinks there are people in the country who think he and his late wife, Patsy, who died in 2006, are responsible for JonBenét's murder. Investigator Lou Smit, who was initially brought into the case by Boulder County District Attorney Alex Hunter, came to believe early in his investigation that the Ramseys were innocent. He thought that the police should be looking at the possibility of an intruder. "I'm not saying parents don't kill their kids ... parents do kill their children," Smit said in his tapes. "But [ the police ] are trying to say Patsy did it. ... Their actions before, during and after [ JonBenét's death ] are all consistent with innocent people. ... They didn't do it." As the investigation progressed Smit became increasingly concerned that authorities had completely ruled out the chance of an intruder being responsible for JonBenét's death. As a result, they weren't searching for evidence that might support this possibility. Smit continued to maintain that an unidentified intruder was responsible for JonBenét's murder. However, he was running out of time due to his colon cancer diagnosis in 2010. Before Smit died on Aug. 11 of that year, he diligently compiled a detailed list of persons of interest, hoping that his years of investigative work would eventually pay off. Smit passed his files to his surviving children, including a spreadsheet with 887 names of potential suspects to be investigated. That list is extensive, but Smit's family is determined to continue their search. Since his death, the team has cleared several individuals from that list, according to Smit's granddaughter Jessa Van Der Woerd. However, the process is slow due to the time and costs involved in locating each person, obtaining their DNA and testing it. "We've let the killer walk for more than 28 years," John Ramsey said. "I think it's imperative that we investigate every credible suspect that's been provided."

Posted by Horseed Staff According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, around 10:00 AM local time, the attack targeted three key locations that housed the Somalia’s National Army The Federal Government of Somalia has strongly condemned a surprise attack by Ethiopian forces in Doolow town, Gedo region, describing it as a grave violation of Somalia’s sovereignty and international agreements. According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, around 10:00 AM local time, the attack targeted three key locations that housed the Somali National Army, National Intelligence Service (NISA), and police forces; the number of Somali security personnel and civilians killed in the attack has not been made public. The incident comes at a particularly sensitive time, as a high-level Somali delegation led by Minister of State Ali Omar was scheduled to arrive in Addis Ababa the same day to strengthen bilateral ties under the framework of the recent Ankara Declaration. “This is a clear violation of the Ankara Agreement, the African Union Charter, the United Nations regulations, and the practice of good neighborliness,” the Somali foreign ministry stated in a strongly worded press release. The ministry warned that it “will not remain silent about these blatant steps that violate Somalia’s sovereignty.” Somalia’s internal political dynamics are making everything more complicated. The federal government in Mogadishu has been at odds with the Jubaland regional state, which is in charge of Doolow, which is located in the Gedo area. Currently, Jubaland Vice President Mahmoud Adam Sayid resides in the town. The Jubaland regional government, on the other hand, said in a press statement that Jubaland positions in Dolow were severely damaged by an attack by Somali federal forces. They declared that Dolow is still firmly under their hands and said that Jubaland soldiers have effectively repelled the attack.University of Phoenix Supports Arizona Diamondbacks® Annual Winter Classic CelebrationAt a town hall meeting with the bureau workforce, Mr Wray said he would be stepping down “after weeks of careful thought”. Mr Wray’s intended resignation is not unexpected considering that Mr Trump had picked Mr Patel for the role in his new administration. Mr Wray had previously been named by Mr Trump and began the 10-year term — a length meant to insulate the agency from the political influence of changing administrations — in 2017, after Mr Trump fired then-FBI director James Comey. Mr Trump had demonstrated his anger with Mr Wray on multiple occasions, including after Mr Wray’s congressional testimony in September. “My goal is to keep the focus on our mission — the indispensable work you’re doing on behalf of the American people every day,” Mr Wray told agency employees. “In my view, this is the best way to avoid dragging the bureau deeper into the fray, while reinforcing the values and principles that are so important to how we do our work.” Mr Wray continued: “It should go without saying, but I’ll say it anyway — this is not easy for me. I love this place, I love our mission, and I love our people — but my focus is, and always has been, on us and doing what’s right for the FBI.” Mr Wray received a standing ovation following his remarks before a standing-room-only crowd at FBI headquarters and some in the audience cried, according to an FBI official who was not authorised to discuss the private gathering and spoke on condition of anonymity to The Associated Press. Mr Trump applauded the news on social media, calling it “a great day for America as it will end the weaponisation of what has become known as the United States Department of Injustice” and saying that Mr Patel’s confirmation will begin “the process of Making the FBI Great Again”. If confirmed by the Senate, Mr Patel would herald a radical leadership transformation at the nation’s premier federal law enforcement agency. He has advocated shutting down the FBI’s Washington headquarters and called for ridding the federal government of “conspirators”, raising alarm that he might seek to wield the FBI’s significant investigative powers as an instrument of retribution against Mr Trump’s perceived enemies. Mr Patel said in a statement Wednesday that he was looking forward to “a smooth transition. I will be ready to serve the American people on day one”.

HUNG CAO: Trump Must Turn Biden-Harris’s Disastrous Military Legacy AroundPlug Power Inc. stock outperforms competitors despite losses on the dayPHILADELPHIA — Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts doesn’t believe his relationship with wide receiver A.J. Brown is in a bad place despite the rumors. “We’re good. We’re good,” Hurts told reporters during his Wednesday press conference. BUY EAGLES TICKETS: STUBHUB , VIVID SEATS , TICKETMASTER During a radio appearance with 94 WIP on Monday, Eagles veteran Brandon Graham said the relationship between Hurts and Brown is strained. Graham later told ESPN that he assumed their friendship had changed and was wrong about it. Graham also said he would apologize to both players. After those comments were made, Hurts and Brown spoke about it. “I think in the end, BG knows he spoke out of place," Hurts said. “He knows that.” Hurts and Brown were best friends before playing on the Eagles. Their relationship started when Hurts was at Alabama. Hurts tried to recruit Brown coming out of high school, and the two remained close throughout the years. Hurts is also the godfather to Brown’s daughter, Jersee. After the Eagles' 22-16 win over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, Brown expressed frustration about the offense’s performance. When he was asked about what the offense needs to improve on, Brown said “passing.” Some thought Brown’s response was a direct shot at Hurts. On a few plays, Hurts didn’t throw to Brown when he was open. Hurts completed 14 of 20 passes, but he only threw for 108 yards against one of NFL’s worst defenses. A week before, he only passed for 118 yards in a win over the Baltimore Ravens. So considering their lack of production in the passing game, Hurts understands why Brown is not happy right now, but that hasn’t changed his feelings toward him. “Sometimes things change as dynamics change,” Hurts said. “But for him, he knows I have a lot of love for him. Just like I got a lot of love for all these guys. Ultimately, he’s a guy that is a competitor. He wants to win. He damn sure wants the ball. He wants to make an impact in the game. And I respect that. That’s just like all of us." Brown caught four passes for 43 yards against the Panthers' defense, which was his second lowest total through 14 weeks. Following Wednesday’s practice, Brown said his “passing” comment was not directed at Hurts. He also said their relationship is good. Over the next four weeks, the Eagles need to fix their passing offense, which ranks 31st in the NFL, averaging 180.6 yards per game. Hurts and Brown have had success before. Now, they need to get back on the same page. “It’s about the team in the end,” Hurts said. “Overall, that’s where my focus is. I think that’s where everyone’s focus is at heart. And try to do what’s best for the team. Ultimately, everyone cares about the team’s success. “So whenever something happens, whatever is, I look at myself first because everything starts and ends with me...." (BPT) - Consumers are facing increasing costs on virtually every purchase these days and auto insurance is no exception. While skyrocketing costs of this auto-related expense can be attributed to everything from parts replacement to service — even health costs as a result of accidents — consumers can better manage these increases with thoughtful study and attention to detail. Some of the common causes for higher insurance rates are Inflation, car accidents, extreme weather conditions such as hail, hurricanes and wind, along with increased vehicle theft claims. Mercury Insurance has partnered with financial literacy influencer Sam Jarman to highlight specific ways consumers can address these rising costs. "Your car is the second biggest expense for most people, right behind your home, and car insurance is a big part of that," said Jarman. "Checking rates and coverage with your Mercury Insurance agent makes sense along with choosing a car with low maintenance costs." According to Consumer Price Index data released earlier this year, car insurance rates are up almost 21% year-over-year for the 12 months which ended in February. The last time car insurance rates rose that much on an annual basis was 1976. Here are some auto insurance statistics recently released from Forbes : "Our goal is to help our customers get the best rates possible because we know that every dollar counts." said Justin Yoshizawa, Director, Product Management, State. "We encourage consumers to build a close relationship with their agent and discuss what discounts they may be eligible to receive. The answer might be surprising." Mercury offers the following tips for lowering your insurance costs: Review your deductibles with your insurance agent – It is recommended that you review your coverage and deductible with your Mercury agent at least once a year. Their wisdom and experience can help you make wise decisions regarding your insurance. Explore car insurance discounts – In addition to bundling your home and auto insurance, Mercury offers discounts for multi-car, good drivers, good students and auto pay. Your agent may have additional discounts to offer. Let Your Insurer Track Your Driving – Most insurers offer discounts for customers who install telematics. This technology allows your insurance company to collect information regarding your mileage and driving habits. This can also provide valuable information regarding your driving as well as saving you money. Drive a safe car with low repair costs – According to Bankrate , some of the cheapest cars to insure are the Subaru Outback, Honda CR-V and Honda Pilot. Also, look for cars with lower repair costs such as the Toyota Corolla, Toyota Prius and Tesla Model 3. Doing some research before you purchase a vehicle can save you money over the length of ownership. Install an anti-theft device on your car – Drivers may receive an additional discount on your auto insurance if you install an anti-theft device on your car. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and PNG Prime Minister James Marape announced at a joint press conference in Sydney that a Port Moresby-based team will enter the NRL from 2028. The PNG team is likely to want Xavier Coates to be its inaugural marquee signing. Credit: Getty “Australia and PNG are the nearest of neighbours and we are the truest of friends,” Albanese said. “We are bound by a history of shared sacrifice and a common commitment to a peaceful, stable and prosperous Pacific. And we are united of course by a love of rugby league. That’s why I’m delighted to announce the Australian government is supporting a PNG team to join the NRL competition from 2028.” “Rugby league is PNG’s national sport and PNG deserves a national team. The new team will belong to the people of PNG and it will call Port Moresby home. It will have millions of people barracking for it from day one.” The leaders hailed the deal as a historic milestone for the PNG-Australia relationship that will bond the nations together and provide a major economic boost to the Pacific’s most populous nation as it seeks to lift much of its population out of poverty. There’s no questioning Papua New Guinea’s passion for rugby league. Credit: Getty “What this is about, isn’t just the elite level,” Albanese said. “This is about the grassroots level. It’s about economic development. It’s about the relationship between our peoples. It provides, as sport often does, an opportunity for people to succeed, not just in sport but in life. “That is why this partnership isn’t just about Papua New Guinea, it’s also about our relationship with the Pacific.” Australian taxpayers will provide $600 million over the next 10 years to help establish the team, with $120 million coming from existing Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade funding. The PNG government has committed to building compound-style accommodation for players and offering tax-free salary benefits to lure star players to its capital, Port Moresby. The Australian and PNG governments have signed a separate agreement on “shared strategic trust” that sits beside the franchise agreement between the NRL, Australia and PNG. The exact terms of the strategic trust agreement are confidential and will not be released to the public. “Today also confirms ... our bilateral security agreement, which was signed just over a year ago in Canberra,” Albanese said. “Since signing that agreement, we’ve made real progress with Australia providing tangible support to PNG’s internal security priorities ... I think that today is a day where people will look back in five years, 10 years, 20 years and see that this was a day where the relationship between our nations was cemented even further into a new level.” While there is no explicit clause granting Australia veto rights over security deals between PNG and other countries, government sources said the NRL agreement was “contingent” on PNG continuing to support the principle that security and policing arrangements are handled by Pacific nations including Australia. The sources, who were not authorised to speak publicly, said the agreement allows the Australian government to withdraw financial support for PNG’s NRL team without supplying a reason until 2035. The NRL would be required to terminate the PNG team’s franchise if the Australian government removes its support under the terms of the agreement. “This is about diplomacy, this is about making Australia safer, this is about securing our status as the security partner of choice in the Pacific,” a senior government source said. The government announced a new treaty earlier this week with Nauru that allows it to block China and other countries from striking any security or telecommunications deals with the tiny Pacific nation in exchange for $140 million in financial support from Australian taxpayers. PNG’s Foreign Minister Justin Tkatchenko told this masthead last week that the agreement has “nothing to do with China” but Australian government officials have insisted there was a security element to the agreement. A separate clause prohibits the NRL from asking the Australian government for more money within or after the 10-year funding period. The logo, colours and name of the PNG team are yet to be determined. One option is for the club to be called the PNG Hunters, the name given to the team that has been playing in the Queensland Cup competition since 2014. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and PNG counterpart James Marape discussed PNG’s NRL bid while walking the Kokoda Track in April. Credit: Dominic Lorrimer “I want to indicate to everyone here in Australia and back home, we’re not just filling the numbers for Anthony [Albanese] and James [Marape] to feel good,” Marape said. “Far from it. We want to win the competition. Just like the Dolphins did in their first year of entry [in 2023], we will field a very strong team in the first game in 2028. “As South Sydney lives on 100 years on from its birth, this one will live on way after you [Albanese] and me are gone. Our people forever bound in not only a shared love for rugby league, but a shared love for each other.” It remains unclear whether PNG will be the NRL’s 18th or 19th team, given there is a desire to add another side as early as 2027. The NRL remains in negotiations for a Perth-based franchise, which are continuing directly with the WA government after a consortium bid was rejected. Sources said negotiations over the PNG team were up in the air until the May NRL “magic round” in May, when Pacific Minister Pat Conroy and Australian Rugby League chairman Peter V’landys struck an in-principle agreement for a team to enter the competition. One of the likely signing targets for the franchise is Xavier Coates. The Melbourne, Queensland and Australian star was born in Port Moresby, has previously represented Fiji and, given he is only 23 years old, will likely be in his prime when the team enters the NRL. His younger brother, Phillip, is also a rising star who represented the PNG Junior Kumuls in their recent draw with the Australian Schoolboys team. As a sweetener to sign with PNG, players and staff will be granted tax-free status. That will allow a marquee signing on a $1.2 million deal to save up to $550,000 a year. The expansion of the NRL competition is expected to bring more money into the game and the existing clubs have argued for a share. They have been placated by the division of a $60 million license fee, which will come out of the $600 million Australian government payment. The staff concerned found that the 17 bookings were made within 10 minutes, causing MSIL a loss of Rs 2.9 lakh. According to the complaint filed by Ravi Kumar K, 50, working in the MSIL head office on Cunningham Road, the miscreant hacked the MSIL website and login ID of SpiceJet on Dec 17 and booked the tickets fraudulently between 7.30pm and 7.40pm. Kumar told police the hacker used a mobile number — 7465910880 — and email ID — gariyavikki80@gmail.com — to hack and log into the SpiceJet login ID BLRMS22266. The hacker also managed to crack the password. By the time the incident came to Kumar's notice on Dec 19, about 14 people had travelled using the tickets booked by the hacker. A police officer said according to Kumar, 11 people travelled to Dubai from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai, while three travelled from Dubai to Mumbai. Soon after the fraud came to Kumar's notice, he informed his seniors in the office and cancelled three tickets booked from Delhi to Dubai. "We have asked Kumar to provide details about all 17 air passengers for whom the hacker had booked the tickets, including those who were about to fly to Dubai from Delhi. We will get in touch with the individuals to ascertain through whom they had booked the flight tickets. Meanwhile, our technical team is working to trace the miscreant who procured the sim card and the Gmail ID used to hack. A case has been registered under the Information Technology Act and Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Section 318 (cheating). MSIL started the tour and travels 25 years ago, but for the first time they are encountering such an issue," the officer added. The loss mentioned in the complaint is the amount MSIL was to pay to the airlines company. The hacker must have earned more than what MSIL has lost, according to police.
