magic ocean apk Unlike scores of people who scrambled for the blockbuster drugs Ozempic and Wegovy to lose weight in recent years, Danielle Griffin had no trouble getting them. The 38-year-old information technology worker from New Mexico had a prescription. Her pharmacy had the drugs in stock. And her health insurance covered all but $25 to $50 of the monthly cost. For Griffin, the hardest part of using the new drugs wasn’t access. It was finding out that the much-hyped medications didn’t really work for her. “I have been on Wegovy for a year and a half and have only lost 13 pounds,” said Griffin, who watches her diet, drinks plenty of water and exercises regularly. “I’ve done everything right with no success. It’s discouraging.” In clinical trials, most participants taking Wegovy or Mounjaro to treat obesity lost an average of 15% to 22% of their body weight — up to 50 pounds or more in many cases. But roughly 10% to 15% of patients in those trials were “nonresponders” who lost less than 5% of their body weight. Now that millions of people have used the drugs, several obesity experts told The Associated Press that perhaps 20% of patients — as many as 1 in 5 — may not respond well to the medications. It's a little-known consequence of the obesity drug boom, according to doctors who caution eager patients not to expect one-size-fits-all results. “It's all about explaining that different people have different responses,” said Dr. Fatima Cody Stanford, an obesity expert at Massachusetts General Hospital The drugs are known as GLP-1 receptor agonists because they mimic a hormone in the body known as glucagon-like peptide 1. Genetics, hormones and variability in how the brain regulates energy can all influence weight — and a person's response to the drugs, Stanford said. Medical conditions such as sleep apnea can prevent weight loss, as can certain common medications, such as antidepressants, steroids and contraceptives. “This is a disease that stems from the brain,” said Stanford. “The dysfunction may not be the same” from patient to patient. Despite such cautions, patients are often upset when they start getting the weekly injections but the numbers on the scale barely budge. “It can be devastating,” said Dr. Katherine Saunders, an obesity expert at Weill Cornell Medicine and co-founder of the obesity treatment company FlyteHealth. “With such high expectations, there’s so much room for disappointment.” That was the case for Griffin, who has battled obesity since childhood and hoped to shed 70 pounds using Wegovy. The drug helped reduce her appetite and lowered her risk of diabetes, but she saw little change in weight. “It’s an emotional roller coaster,” she said. “You want it to work like it does for everybody else.” The medications are typically prescribed along with eating behavior and lifestyle changes. It’s usually clear within weeks whether someone will respond to the drugs, said Dr. Jody Dushay, an endocrine specialist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Weight loss typically begins right away and continues as the dosage increases. For some patients, that just doesn't happen. For others, side effects such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhea force them to halt the medications, Dushay said. In such situations, patients who were counting on the new drugs to pare pounds may think they’re out of options. “I tell them: It's not game over,” Dushay said. Trying a different version of the new class of drugs may help. Griffin, who didn't respond well to Wegovy, has started using Zepbound, which targets an additional hormone pathway in the body. After three months of using the drug, she has lost 7 pounds. “I'm hoping it's slow and steady,” she said. Other people respond well to older drugs, the experts said. Changing diet, exercise, sleep and stress habits can also have profound effects. Figuring out what works typically requires a doctor trained to treat obesity, Saunders noted. “Obesity is such a complex disease that really needs to be treated very comprehensively,” she said. “If what we’re prescribing doesn’t work, we always have a backup plan.” The Associated Press Health and Science Department receives support from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s Science and Educational Media Group. Such centres are filled with computer servers used by companies like Meta to develop and train large-scale artificial intelligence models. Glubish says Meta, as well as other major companies including Google and Amazon, are on the hunt for space to build more facilities, and he wants Alberta to be an option. He says landing some data centres would create jobs and bring in much needed new tax revenue for the province. Glubish also says that since Alberta's electricity grid regulations allows for off-grid power generation, he thinks the province is an ideal location. He says allowing for off-grid power connections where power generators supply data centres directly also means there's less risk for Albertans, as there wouldn't be major drains on the electrical grid. The state President Nana F. Patole lost, 8-time winner Vijay Balasaheb Thorat was vanquished, veteran ex-chief minister Prithviraj Chavan was defeated... The Leader of Opposition Vijay Wadettiwar survived by a hair’s breadth,” said AICC General Secretary Ramesh Chennithala. He said that in the morning the Maha Vikas Aghadi was leading in around 150 seats, and suddenly the trend reversed, raising doubts which the three parties will now review and decide on its future strategies. While unconditionally and unhesitantly “accepting defeat for the debacle”, Chennithala said that the party will collect the complete data from the Election Commission of India (ECI) and study it before making any definite comments. “We are awaiting the full details on the results from the ECI... We shall analyse it, inquire into all respects and then present it before the people. We have the time,” said the AICC GS. He said that the Congress enjoys the faith and confidence of the masses in Maharashtra and the party will do its best to live up to their expectations. The MVA allies – Congress-Nationalist Congress Party (SP)-Shiv Sena (UBT) – had fought the elections unitedly with other smaller parties and were optimistic of bagging more than 150 seats, but have been reduced to around 45, with many big names biting the dust. The ruling MahaYuti secured around 230 seats while independents and others bagged the remaining 10 seats in the 288-member house, as the final results are yet to be announced.

The last two countries announced their 4 Nations Roster and the Toronto Maple Leafs were well represented. With the 4 Nations Face-Off taking place next February, teams are coming together as the international battle for supremacy will no doubt capture the attention of fans. Sweden and Finland already announced their rosters with two Toronto Maple Leafs represented with Jani Hakanpaa for Finland and William Nylander for Sweden. Canada and the United States were also taking note of some very familiar names as Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner have been named to their respective teams. Matthews will don the red, white, and blue as he takes the ice alongside some pretty hefty players like Brock Nelson, the Tkachuk Brothers, Chris Kreider and Brock Faber. It will be Matthews' 6th time representing the United States after various junior hockey nominations. Even though he missed basically the entirety of November, there's no denying Matthews would earn himself a spot. Last year's leading goal-scorer is going to be a dangerous weapon for Team USA as they try and use their size and skill to control the game. Even though he's missed a month, Matthews is still enjoying a solid season with 15 points in 14 games and recently returned to the team and made an instant impact. Marner will join Team Canada as the only Maple Leaf although there were conversations that potentially teammate Chris Tanev would join as well though that's not the case. Enjoying an electric season with the Maple Leafs, Marner has scored 33 points in 24 games (9 goals, 24 assists) and led the team in the wake of Matthews' injury. Without him, the team would be nowhere near as successful as they have been a quarter of the way through the season. Marner joins Team Canada for the 4th time as he joins up with some pretty prominent Canadian players such as Sidney Crosby , Connor McDavid, and Nathan MacKinnon among a slew of future Hall of Famers. Grand Theft Auto 6 is going to cause a "global distraction event" when it launches, with millions taking time off of work and school to play it... but what about a beefed-up version on the PC? We're learning about GTA 6 on "next-gen consoles" and PC from the LinkedIn profile of a Principal Engine Programmer who has been working at Rockstar since 2020, with Grand Theft Auto 6 as the only project they've worked on over the last 4 years. The developer listed some details about working with RAGE, the in-house engine Rockstar uses for its games, with RAGE being used to power the next-generation world of GTA 6. The post teased that the developer has worked with ray tracing, ray-traced global illumination, and "procedural generation for objects and game environments". The full post on LinkedIn from the GTA 6 developer explains: "Oversee the design, development, and optimization of core engine of Rockstar's in-house RAGE engine. One strategy that has been frequently discussed is the idea of sending young Chinese players to European clubs to gain experience and develop their skills. This practice, commonly known as "foreign aid," has been proven to be beneficial for young players in other countries, and it is high time for China to embrace this approach as well.

Iranian Ambassador Warns US of Consequences of Assad Regime Collapse, Potential for Regional ConflictDEFENDER James Bree felt 10-man Southampton's 5-1 defeat "flattered" second-place Chelsea at St Mary's on Wednesday evening. The Blues scored through Axel Disasi, Christopher Nkunku, Noni Madueke, Cole Palmer and Jadon Sancho as a depleted home team failed to stop the league's top goalscorers. Enzo Maresca's side could have scored more. Joe Lumley produced important saves, Ryan Manning cleared off the line and Chelsea stuck the woodwork on three occasions. Southampton's defensive task was made more difficult after club captain Jack Stephens saw a straight red card for pulling Marc Cucurella's hair in the box. Chelsea registered 26 shots in total and recorded 5.29 expected goals, the highest of any away team in the Premier League since records began. Speaking at St Mary's, Bree tried to pick out the positives following Southampton's heaviest defeat of the season. He said: "It was a strange game, obviously, we conceded five goals. That's a problem. It's a weird one because I want to come here and say at times we played some really good football . "(At times) we cut through them and caused some problems but I think when they got the third goal, and we were down to 10 men, I think it was always going to be an uphill battle. "We tried hanging in there and making a game of it. If we put away a couple of the chances we had, maybe it could have been a different game. "I think 5-1 at the end of the day probably flatters them a little bit." "It's yet another self-inflicted wound!" Chelsea pounce on Southampton's sloppiness at the back and regain the lead! 🔵 #PLonPrime #SOUCHE pic.twitter.com/oNpFiK1cuy — Amazon Prime Video Sport (@primevideosport) December 4, 2024 Chelsea's second goal came after Joe Lumley passed to an under-pressure Kyle Walker-Peters, who lost the ball, allowing Nkunku to shoot into an empty net. Asked about handing the opposition another goal, Bree responded: "I think it's so tough because we can create chances from playing out from the back. "At times tonight, we showed that really well. Obviously, with little mistakes like that, I can understand why it's frustrating for the fans if it keeps happening. "It has happened a couple of times this season but I think it's just something we've got to persevere with. "If we can pick the right times to play and if we can eradicate those mistakes and do it right every time then that would be unreal." Bree played down the idea that Southampton's players will be discouraged from playing out from the back following repeated errors. "It's tough to take when they do score and capitalise off it, but then look at the nine other times that we've played out and done really well," he explained. "There's going to be mistakes when you're playing out like that. Sometimes we get lucky and they don't score but it feels like at the minute, if we make a mistake they are (going to score.) "We'll keep our heads down we'll keep doing it because I think we're getting better and better at it every week. I think we're causing teams problems."The real estate sector has always been a key driving force in the global economy, and the importance of real estate development and construction cannot be underestimated.
